Sewing Has Quietly Become Part of My Creative Practice

Lately I’ve been spending more time away from the screen and making things by hand.

What started as wanting to sew a few things for my baby slowly turned into late-night and early-morning sewing sessions — tiny jackets, quilted pouches, baby blankets, baby pants, bows, and experiments with vintage fabrics and color combinations I get excited about.

A lot of it feels similar to the way I approach motion work: composition, texture, rhythm, storytelling, problem solving, and figuring out how small details change the feeling of something. Just slower, tactile, and a little more meditative.

I recently opened a small Etsy shop as a place to share some of these handmade pieces and ongoing experiments. This Playground section felt like the right place to document that process alongside my digital work.

A few recent sewing experiments and handmade pieces — tiny jackets, quilted pouches, bows, and baby pants made during late nights and early mornings. Mostly one-of-one pieces exploring color, texture, vintage fabrics, and slower hands-on making outside of my usual motion/design work.
